I am guilty of putting my feet up on our coffee table. We don’t wear shoes in our home, so they are always bare or with socks. My husband swears that I have now ruined the table. At the right angle, you can see scuff marks that furniture polish will not take out. He swears that I am the only person he knows that uses a coffee table as a foot rest, and I have a hard time believing that. Anyway, has this ever happened to anyone? If so, is there a way to fix it, or am I doomed to be the horrible wife that ruined the table with my feet ?!?

I love the look of the 5×5 bookcase they have at IKEA, but I hate shopping there and putting the stuff together with their pictogram directions.
The bed I bought there had the wrong piece packaged with it and when we went back to exchange a part (after 2 hours of trying to make it fit) they said “Oh, yeah. This happens all the time, here’s the right piece you need.” Like it was no big deal. AND, the instructions weren’t clear not to tighten the joints so once it was put together half were stripped and now it wobbles and leans with any weight! !!
So can anyone recommend a similar bookcase from somewhere else?

I’m a waiter, and I know the basic, be polite, etc. I was wondering if drawing happy faces, and stuff like that actually increases tips. How many times should a waiter visit your table? Stuff like that

I’ve heard a lot about filling water glasses a lot. If a waiter leaves a full jug of water at your table, is that looked upon positively or negatively?

Found in garbage , immaculate condition , 5 piece stackable , 3 glass front , slide-in doors , any clue on value?
My son is 7 – nearly 8 and is starting to get lots of homework. I’m in desperate need of a desk for him, but I don’t know what to get. The kiddies ones are too small for him, hes fairly tall, but i think the adult ones will be to big, especially in his room, could do with an inbetween size.
Has anyone bought one for their child they could recommend? It doesnt have to be blue and funky, quite happy to get him a plain one
