The house was built in 1970 with hot water baseboards that take up 2 walls in every room. I would like to eventually have built-in bookcases added in the living room, which would require removal of the baseboard along one wall and a couple feet of the other wall. How feasible would this be? Would we have sufficient heat coming out afterward?
Yes, there is a full basement. And, unfortunately, yes, the thermostat is also in the same room.

We would need to do a serious project review and also find how many approvals for either the exactly same ao fundamentally same project has already been taken from the Ministry of finance or is consecutively in the pipeline from the Ministry of Finance. That plus complete accountability in funds garnered from dollar swap trades over the past year and half that was also brought to the table by me for the benefit of Sri Lanka and not for benefit of politicians must be sussed. With all the political gamesmanship, created controversies etc. designed to make people take their eye of the ball I certainly will not let real benefits that I made available to my country be squandered by certain sources as packages are duplicated, replicated and embezzled.
